Matt Bissonnette lied and dissed POTUS.

E-mail Print PDF

In Matthew Bissonnette's book, "No Easy Day" detailing the UBL hit in Abbottabad, Pakistan. He makes a statement that he and his team were invited to the White House by President Obama, but that it never happened. He Lied.

Matt failed to mention in his book that a private meeting with the President at the White House did happen. On January 21, 2012, Bissonnette brought four guests with him to the White House, assuming those guests are his immediate family according to White House visitor logs.

The White House had some other interesting guests during that visit as well. Mr. James Dimon, the CEO of JP Morgan Chase Bank also brought his entire immediate family on that mid-Saturday private meeting.

The White House released a press pool report for that weekend, stating that the President would not be making any public appearances that entire weekend.

The White House had a total of 14 visitors that Saturday. Most revealing, is that all 14 guests had their appointments made on the 18th of January, three days before their visits. In short, they gained access to the White House almost immediately, which shows they were invited and not your typical tourist visitors.

Why would Matt Bissonnette omit his visit to the White House? Why did he lie? Did he forget his visit to the White House? Hardly. Was he asked to leave out his private meeting with the president? Was his lapse in memory a diss to the President and the White House? Possibly. If so, that would explain part of the reason the White House is so upset over his book.

Notes:

The visit took place on January 21, 2012. Matt dates his "Authors Notes" in his book, June 22, 2012. Five months after his visit.

On April 2012, the White House released the logs of visitors to the White house for January 2012.

The White House Flickr stream is void of any photos on January 21, 2012.

It's unknown if the White House tweeted anything on that date, so far.
